Bangladesh ranks among the top 10 percent of the world’s most cyber-secure countries, according to the latest Global Cyber Security Index 2024 report released by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) on Thursday.
The report places Bangladesh alongside 36 other nations, including Australia, Italy, Estonia, France, Germany, Finland, Brazil, India, Pakistan, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.
Bangladesh achieved an impressive score of 95 out of 100. The country earned perfect scores in three of the five categories evaluated: technical capabilities, organizational skills, and collaboration and coordination. In the other two categories, Bangladesh scored 19.52 out of 20 in capacity development and 17.44 in legal action.
