The ISACA Dhaka Chapter Election for 2026–2028 will take place on 8, August-2026. Most of the executive roles are likely to be filled with no competition as there is only one nomination for each. The Secretary role is the only one that will be chosen by voting since there are several nominations according to the documents provided by the chapter.
The nomination list shows that all other positions have only one candidate each. This means these nominees will be elected without competition, as long as the chapter’s election rules are followed. Right now, no one has been nominated for the Treasurer and Joint Secretary positions, so those roles are empty for now.

Abul Kalam Azad is nominated for President, and Zainal Abedin is the only one for Vice President. The only contest is for Secretary, with Rashedul Islam and G. M. Faruk Ahmed running against each other.
The chapter’s Immediate Past President position will automatically be positioned by Mohammed Iqbal Hossain in accordance with the chapter’s governance structure. Other candidates without opposition are Ahmed Zafor Sadeq Bhuiyan for Director – Communication, Fahima Khanam for Director – Membership, Md. Wahid Murad for Director – CISA, Quazi Shaklain for Director – CISM, Dr. Nurullah Shahin for Director – IT Governance/COBIT, Hasan Al Monsur for Director – Marketing, Mohammad Morshed Alam for Director – Academic Relations, and Mahbub Ul Alam for Director – At Large.
This year, there is only one position to vote on, so the election will likely be less competitive than in recent years. ISACA members will vote for the Secretary position. The other candidates are expected to take their roles after the chapter’s official election done.
The ISACA Dhaka Chapter helps improve cybersecurity, information safety, IT management, risk handling, audits, and so on in Bangladesh. The new Executive Committee will guide the chapter from 2026 to 2028. They will manage training programs, support for certifications, conferences, and activities for ISACA members in the country.
