Official verified Facebook page of ‘DESCO’ hacked

The official verified Facebook page of Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited (DESCO) has been hacked. This information was informed in a statement of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources on Saturday (June 10).
By visiting the Facebook page, it was seen that the hackers had written slogans of Bangabandhu’s age-old Dabaya, Parba Naa.

According to the press release sent by the Deputy Chief Information Officer of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Mir Mohammad Aslam Uddin, currently all the cyber teams concerned, including Desco, are working to restore that page.
Everyone is specifically requested to refrain from exchanging any messages and avoid any posts on the page until the page is restored. It is also reported that Desco’s technical team is working to recover the Facebook page.
