Hackers on Telegram threatened to leak Google databases unless the company fires two employees. A hacking group urged the tech giant to fire Austin Larsen and Charles Carmakal and to suspend Google Threat Intelligence Group’s investigations.
The group is claimed to be a network of hackers made up of members from other hacker communities, consisting of Scattered Spider, LapSus, and ShinyHunters. The group has branded itself Scattered LapSus Hunters in reference to this.

According to a post seen by Newsweek, the self-proclaimed hacking collective, calling itself “Scattered LapSus Hunters,” also insisted that Google suspend all investigations by its Threat Intelligence Group into the network’s activities.
Larsen and Carmakal both work in the Google Threat Intelligence Group.
The group hasn’t shown evidence of accessing Google databases, and there are no recent breaches. This news follows Google’s August statement about ShinyHunters obtaining data from Salesforce, a service provider for them.
ShinyHunters has a history of major data breaches and selling stolen info online. Their collaboration could severely challenge even the best-protected companies.
Newsweek contacted Google for a statement on the alleged threats but did not get a response, since the request was made outside normal business hours.
