Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has taken up the experimental program of ‘Smart Parking app’ to stop parking everywhere and solve the traffic congestion in the city.
On Wednesday (November 8) at noon, the opening ceremony of the trial program of this app was organized at Nagar Bhaban of DNCC at Gulshan-2.

The program started at 12:30 PM. Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal was present as the chief guest at the event under the chairmanship of DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam. LOCC, DNCC and Dhaka Metropolitan Police have implemented this project.
Speakers in the event said that the main objective of this project is to create a modern management for car parking in countries like developed countries.
For that purpose, by starting in the form of a pilot on the designated roads of Dhaka North City Corporation, taking timely action by taking various opinions of users. Citizens can express their views on DNCC’s email ([email protected]) and Facebook page.
How to register in the app:
To complete the registration from anywhere, you have to download the ‘DNCC SMART PARKING’ app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Open the app and click on Create an account button. After going to the Create an Account page, fill the form with your and vehicle details and click on the submit button. Then the registration will be completed through OTP verification.
How to use smart parking service:
First, the car should be marked parallel or 60 degrees at the white color marked on the pavement according to the road rules. This parking can be validated using the app or smart parking card
Parking using the app
To confirm parking using the app, enter the app and select the road and click on the ‘Parking’ button. Then you have to select the ‘time’ to park the car according to any place and hour.
Then the software will display the parking charges as per the selected hours and you have to pay the charges through any online payment. The parking service will be activated automatically subject to the payment of the charge being completed correctly.
Parking using smart card:
In the first instance the user needs to collect a ‘Smart Parking Card’. This card can be collected from street wardens or Islami Bank Gulshan, Banani branch.
For the first time this smart parking card has to be registered from Islami Bank Gulshan, Banani Branch with user details. In order to receive fast service, some money should be recharged in the smart parking card registered from the branch of Islami Bank.
After parking the car, the smart parking card should be given to the warden and the number of hours of parking should be mentioned. The Warden will collect the vehicle parking payment from the smart parking card through his handheld POS machine and issue a receipt to the user.
