Singapore Approves 200MW Data-Centre Expansion Under Second Call

Singapore has picked four data-centre plans for a total of 200MW of power in its second Data Centre Call for Application (DC-CFA2). This helps improve the country’s digital infrastructure and meet the rising need for data-centre services.

The selection was announced by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and the Economic Development Board (EDB), following an evaluation of proposals submitted under the second call.

The new allocation comes after Singapore opened its second Data Centre Call for Applications in December 2025. EDB and IMDA asked for applications for at least 200MW of new data-centre capacity. More capacity could be added based on the quality of the proposals. This call aimed to help Singapore’s data-centre sector grow sustainably and to promote development that is efficient and eco-friendly.

Four Proposals Selected

Supporting Digital Infrastructure

Data centres are increasingly important to Singapore’s digital economy, providing the infrastructure required for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, digital services and other data-intensive technologies.
