Kazi Ashikur Rahman, DevSecOps Engineer, CEHQ by 365 Retail Markets highlights on the topic “Inside the Hacker’s Mind: Attacks, Defense & Cyber Careers,” provided participants with an overview of how attackers approach cybersecurity targets and the techniques commonly associated with cyberattacks. The session also highlighted effective defensive strategies and discussed career opportunities in the rapidly growing cybersecurity field.
The session was particularly valuable for students and aspiring cybersecurity professionals, helping them understand both the technical and career aspects of the industry.
MD. Gollam Rabbi, Offensive Security Engineer, The Cyber Triad Company talked on “Invisible Strokes: Browser UI Side-Channel Attacks” exploring emerging security concerns related to web browsers and user-interface behavior. Participants were introduced to the concept of browser-based side-channel attacks and how seemingly minor browser interactions can potentially create security and privacy risks.
At InfoSecCon-2026 (5th Edition), a four-member leadership team from Penough Ltd—comprising CEO Nazrul Islam, CISO Khan Janny, SecDev Lead Bayzid Himel, and SecOps Lead Ashfaq Hossain presented an interactive session titled “Test Your Cyber Judgement: Can You Spot the Fake?” Their talk focuses on improving cyber awareness and helping users navigate real-world digital threats, emphasizing the tagline “Think before you click”.
The team addresses key vectors of social engineering and deception, covering phishing emails with urgent verification traps, fake login pages designed to steal credentials, suspicious QR codes promising rewards, and AI-driven deepfake scams.
At the professional’s part a huge gathering spotted at the conference premises. Gaming, challenging table talk and key notes are the center of the part.
At InfoSecCon 2026 (5th Edition), the discussion on “Guardrails for Safe AI Adoption Across Government and Enterprise” focused on the important move from fast tool testing to safe, controlled use. Panel members stressed that using AI in public and private sectors needs strong technical controls like real-time filtering and automatic data loss protection to manage privacy risks and data leaks while still promoting new ideas. Long-term success depends on mixing fast automation with human supervision, clear leadership responsibility, strict rules, and sticking to ethical guidelines.
At InfoSecCon 2026 (5th Edition), experts met for a talk on “National AI Strategy: Building Secure and Trusted AI Ecosystems”. They discussed the need for strong protection against cyber threats, solid risk management, and active rules as companies quickly adopt artificial intelligence. The speakers pointed out how important it is for national safety and business systems to build trust in AI through clear rules, safe data sharing, and constant threat checks, making sure that progress keeps up with safety and responsibility.
Industry leaders met to talk about the important topic, “Protecting 187 million Subscribers: The Cybersecurity Challenge for Telecom Operators”. Top cybersecurity experts from big telecom companies like Grameenphone, Banglalink, and Robi shared their insights. They focused on the huge duty mobile operators have to protect vital national information. The panelists talked about ways to reduce risks from third-party vendors, defend their complex networks from advanced cyber threats, and improve threat intelligence to secure almost 190 million connections in Bangladesh. The discussion highlighted the need for teamwork across industries and strong defense plans to keep user privacy and national digital safety.
At InfoSecCon 2026 (5th Edition), Mr. Khalid Bin Masud, the Head of Science at UNESCO Bangladesh, delivered a main talk titled “Building a Safe Digital Future: AI, Cybersecurity, Digital Literacy and Human Rights.” He discussed the importance of AI regulations by analyzing the new opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence in key areas like healthcare and farming. The session focused on human rights and emphasized that strong cybersecurity should go hand in hand with improved digital skills to make technology safe and fair for everyone.
As special guest Director General of National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) said, Gov.t automatically has taken steps to secure citizens data and now are trying to make easy gov.t services for the citizen providing one universal card. He also emphasized the gov.t initiative of making AI policy shortly.
As Chief Guest, Brigadier General Iqbal Ahmed (retd), Commissioner (Engineering and Operations Department), Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), highlighted the importance of strengthening Bangladesh’s digital infrastructure and ensuring a secure and resilient telecommunications ecosystem. In his speech, he emphasized that as the country becomes increasingly dependent on digital services and connectivity, cybersecurity must remain a key priority for both government and industry.
He emphasized the importance of collaboration among regulatory authorities, telecommunications operators, technology companies, cybersecurity professionals, researchers, and academic institutions to address emerging cyber threats. He also highlighted the need for stronger security practices, continuous monitoring, skilled cybersecurity professionals, and greater awareness among users to ensure the safe and reliable use of digital technologies.
