This is for the first time in Bangladesh Banggabandhu international cyber security award held at a hotel on thursday (19.10.23). The program jointly organized by Digital security agency DSA, Bangladesh High tech park and UNDP.
In four category, one person and five institutions have been awarded this year for Banggabandhu international cyber security award. In learner category Tamjid Rahman for ‘Panelty project’, From India Anir Rajamala for ‘End now foundation’, in entrepreneur category, for startup organization ‘Byte capsul’ has been awarded, in government category ‘BTRC digital security cell’ and ‘Bangladesh police women network’ and outstanding contribution award goes to ‘PathChola foundation’ run by third gender.

In the award giving ceremony, UNDP representatives Stephen lilar said, The digital landscape is being broaden in every second. So, there is no way to be aware in the landscape fast. He said, we join with Bangladesh to ensure the cyber space safe. As we see, there are many harmful content in the digital space of Bangladesh.
Cyber attacker destroy our peace, our judiciary system as well has profound impact in our business, economy and so on. He said, UNDP will be with Bangladesh in this arena of cyber space.
ICT Secretery Shamsul Arefin said, in the age of digitalization, we have to take care of our every second. Because cyber attackers are always try to get access our digital landscape 24/7.
The Gov.t of Bangladesh take the issues seriously and takes various steps which is being implemented continuously. Such type of award giving ceremony will add fuel to be more energetic in this arena, he add.
