CIRT states that scammers are spreading fake notices about “account activation fees,” “verification charges,” and “withdrawal processing fees.” The agency clarifies it does not ask for money or authorize payment collection.
Investigators found UK and Malaysian phone numbers linked to fake WhatsApp groups that trick victims, spread false warnings, and pressure them for payments. Scammers provided various mobile numbers to receive payments through bKash/Nagad, CIRT alert reads.
