LockBit, BlackCat Unite; Chat; raising security concerns

After the happening of seized and resized of ALPHV darksite, a surprising alliance has formed. LockBit and BlackCat/APLHV, two well-known hacker groups, have joined forces to create a ransomware cartel. They aim to unite and resist crackdowns, such as the recent FBI action against ALPHV’s leak website.

The announcement was made through mysterious messages on the dark web, where cybercriminals often communicate and plan.

According to vx-underground, ALPHV/BlackCat started conversation on the dark web, stressing the importance of hackers coming together.

The message hinted at recent events and thanked LockBitSupp for their support. LockBit, in return, expressed gratitude and willingness to help similar people.

A bystander on the dark web noticed the unexpected unity between two fierce rivals and praised their professionalism.

LockBit shed light on the harsh reality of their perilous profession. They emphasized the constant threat of law enforcement agencies and urged unity to collectively face these challenges.

“The FBI doesn’t catch us alone; it joins forces with all the special services in the world; we have to do the same,” warned LockBit.

In a surprising turn, BlackCat responded, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect and collaboration. “LockBit’s right, we should all join a cartel or they’ll hunt us down one by one,” BlackCat asserted.

The partnership between LockBit and BlackCat is very concerning because both groups have been involved in significant cyberattacks. This collaboration could increase the size and impact of their future operations.
