Elon Musk bring ‘xAI’ to compete with Chat GPT

Elon Musk launched his own artificial intelligence company xAI to compete with ChatGPT. The new startup is made up of prominent AI researchers. xAI’s artificial intelligence research team is made up of companies like OpenAI, Google, Microsoft.

xAI will be independently operated by X Corp, Twitter’s parent company. According to the statement, the mission is focused on making significant progress in understanding the reality of artificial intelligence.

Elon Musk has long expressed concern about how dangerous AI is. He cites AI as the biggest threat to humanity’s existence. At the time he compared the rapid advancement of AI to summoning a ‘monster’.

Elon Musk founded OpenAI in 2015 in partnership with Sam Altman. At the time, he thought Google’s approach to advancing AI was too hasty and irresponsible. From there, he teamed up with Sam Altman to deliver the right message, the right product, to people with AI. He later left OpenAI in 2018 to further expand Tesla into the auto industry.

By launching xAI, Elon Musk wants to put himself at the forefront of AI development. Musk also aims to create a new way of understanding his reality to guide the AI industry.
