Anthropic is making a new Claude feature called “Money.” It’s a separate tab in the mobile app. The new interface shows that users can “link your bank accounts” and ask Claude about spending and financial plans. There is no Money tab on Claude’s web interface yet.
Money seems made to let Claude always see a user’s financial situation. Users won’t have to upload bank statements or transaction files by hand. This could help Claude look at spending, find regular payments, summarize balances, show trends, answer budget questions, and help with financial planning. The specific types of accounts, data sources, and what actions are allowed are still not known.

The direction aligns with Anthropic’s goals in finance. Claude already works with tools like Era Context and PocketSmith for personal finance. Anthropic is also making agents and products for professionals in finance. A special Money area would give consumers some of those features in Claude.
The nearest comparison is ChatGPT’s Finances feature. It allows eligible US users to link accounts using Plaid and ask about their spending, balances, subscriptions, net worth, and investments.
References to Claude Money appeared in unreleased mobile design parts, hinting that work has moved forward enough to have both a special navigation option and a startup screen. The launch date is still unclear. The feature might come in the next few weeks, but the design could also show wider internal testing.
An initial rollout just in the US makes sense due to its banking providers, rules, and compliance work. Expanding to places like the EU would probably need more infrastructure and approvals.
