Madhya Pradesh has made notable progress in its electronics sector, with the Prime Minister approving two manufacturing clusters in Bhopal and Jabalpur. Currently, 85 companies operate in electronics manufacturing in the state, marking a significant achievement for both state and central governments. This industry is set to play a key role in India’s economy.

Minister Vaishnaw announced a training initiative to equip 20,000 engineers with essential skills through the Future Skills Programme in Madhya Pradesh, boosting the region’s technological capabilities. The electronics manufacturing industry has grown significantly over the past decade, now valued at Rs. 10 lakh crore (US$ 120 billion).

India exports electronics valued at ₹5 lakh crore (US$ 60 billion), primarily including mobile devices (₹4 lakh crore or US$ 48 billion), laptops and servers (₹75,000 crore or US$ 9 billion), along with defence and medical electronics. This sector is among the top three export categories in the country.

India is progressing in semiconductor manufacturing, with five units being built and the first ‘Made in India’ chip set to launch by 2025. To support this, the government is training 85,000 engineers in advanced semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, highlighting its commitment to innovation and workforce development.
Minister Vaishnaw praised the government’s dedication for boosting India’s electronics manufacturing sector. He congratulated Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and the people of Madhya Pradesh for this achievement, especially on Mahashivratri.

The summit highlighted the launch of a new 100,000 sq. ft. IT campus in Madhya Pradesh, featuring advanced facilities for manufacturing IT hardware and electronics. It will produce various products, including servers, desktops, laptops, drones, and robots. Over the next six years, the campus is expected to attract around Rs. 150 crores (US$ 18 million) in investment and create about 1,200 jobs in the area.

Minister Vaishnaw announced major investments in Madhya Pradesh, including agreements between Indian Railways and the state on renewable energy projects, strengthening their partnership.

The Indian government is focused on building future-ready infrastructure by investing in four key areas: infrastructure investment, inclusive growth, expanding manufacturing, and simplifying laws. These initiatives support the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, highlighting a commitment to sustainable and inclusive development.

HLBS, a technology company with a manufacturing unit in Bhopal, plans to build a modern manufacturing and R&D facility in Bhopal IT Park. The company aims to create innovative, affordable electronic products for both domestic and global markets, especially for everyday consumers. HLBS is known for its commitment to quality and reliability, ensuring high standards for all its products.
