Law Minister Anisul Haque told, some sections of the Digital Security Act are being repealed. That is, the new law will contain many elements of the Digital Security Act.

Earlier, after the meeting with Eamon Gilmore, the Special Representative of the European Union (EU) on Human Rights at the Secretariat on July 25, Law Minister Anisul Haque said, “We have discussed the digital security law with the representative of the European Union.” I told him, we definitely decided to amend this law. This amendment will be raised in the national parliament next September and hopefully will be passed.

In response to the question of what kind of amendments are being brought in the Digital Security Act, the minister said, you have to wait a little for it. I think your advice is very important to the government. I can say is that you all will be happy with the amendments to the Digital Security Act.

Earlier, last Wednesday (August 2), Law Minister Anisul Haque said that the Digital Security Act-2018 will not be repealed or changed. But the process to amend the law to prevent misuse is underway, which will be completed by next September.
