BGD e-Gov CIRT, the country’s cyber issue watchdog, says that DDoS attacks have been detected on the sites of 12 organizations so far. On Wednesday (August 16) this information was confirmed by CIRT Project Director Eng. Saiful Alam Khan.

For security and maintenance NID server was closed: DG
He said that it is not correct that different newspapers and magazines are reporting the hack with different information. So far we have been able to confirm DDoS attacks in 12 institutions.
He also said that the CIRT is working on the websites of organizations that are under threat of attack. Earlier, the websites of important institutions like NID were also closed due to fear of cyber attack. Various internet based services of Bangladesh Bank were also closed for several hours.
