Google has launched an updated version of Find My Device, which helps people keep track of their numerous devices more easily. This new version also allows users to track their phones even when they are turned off or have run out of battery.
Android users with devices other than phones can now use Bluetooth trackers to keep track of their items, such as keys and luggage, and even find them in their room. These changes will be available on Android in the next few weeks, with some users receiving them earlier. If you have an Android phone running version 9 or later, you will be able to use the new Find My Device network. Currently, this feature is being rolled out to people in the US and Canada, and more countries will be added later.

Find My Device (FMD) now uses advanced technology to track Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro models, even when they are turned off or the battery dies. This feature is currently exclusive to Pixel devices, but we hope it will be available for other devices in the future, benefitting millions of Android users.
NEVER LOSE YOUR KEYS AND LUGGAGE AGAIN:
Android users can share their device’s location with friends and family. This is useful for keeping track of keys and other items. The owner can stop sharing at any time to prevent misuse.
Google guarantees the security of the FMD with end-to-end encryption of location data and aggregated device location reporting. This provides extra protection against unwanted tracking to a home or private location, which AirTags have been experiencing lately.
