Valentina Flores, CEO of RedSentry, shared her thoughts behind organizing Hacked 101 in Bangladesh. She expressed her enthusiasm for connecting with the growing cybersecurity community in the country and highlighted Bangladesh’s rising potential as a global tech player. Mehedi Hasan Remon, Senior Security Engineer at RedSentry, inspired attendees with his personal journey in the company, discussing how continuous learning and passion for cybersecurity helped shape his career. His talk resonated with many aspiring professionals, offering a realistic perspective on working in the global cybersecurity industry.

The seminar also featured experts from the local cybersecurity community. A. S. M. Shamim Reza, Founder of TheTeamPhoenix, delivered a session on “Career in Cybersecurity: Exploring the Realm of Defense and Offense,” discussing diverse career opportunities in the field. Muhammad Abul Kalam Azad, Head of Information Security at Eastern Bank PLC, provided practical advice on cyber safety in his session, “Cyber Safety Practice 101.”

Syed Mushfik Hasan Tahsin, Founder of Bug Bounty Community Bangladesh, introduced the concept of bug bounty hunting in his talk, “Bug Bounty 101,” while Md Sadikul Islam, Security Specialist at Beetles Cyber Security Ltd., presented on “Penetration Testing 101.” MD. Golam Rabbi, Security Researcher at Beetles Cyber Security Ltd., concluded with an engaging presentation on “Capture The Flag 101,” encouraging students to explore CTF competitions.

The Vice-Chancellor of UITS delivered the closing speech, praising RedSentry’s role in promoting cybersecurity awareness and acknowledging the contributions of local cybersecurity communities in developing Bangladesh’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
