He said, ‘They (Facebook, YouTube, Google) do not listen to our recommendations on various issues due to the fact that their (Facebook, YouTube, Google) head office is not located here to prevent rumors and control cybercrime. We will publicize what they are not listening to. If necessary, they will be shatdown temporarily.
The minister said, “I will properly notify the international organization first – they (social media) are continuing these crimes and rumors without taking our complaints into consideration and there is no initiative on their part.” I will also say in the form of advertisement. So that the people of the world do not think this, a fundamental right is being disrupted here.
The Liberation War Affairs Minister said, “The provisions of the law on social media, if any complaint is received, investigation and action should be taken.” They are not investigating our complaints and taking action. Inform the people of their indifference through public notices, if ever they are closed the responsibility should not fall on the government but on them (social media).”
