Hasnat Mohsin, CEO Smartcom Limited, said, “Cyberattacks are on the rise in Bangladesh. According to a report of the state-run Bangladesh e-Government Computer Incident Response Team (BGD e-Gov CIRT), sophisticated cyberattacks like ransomware has been marked as the first biggest risk and apart from ransomware, phishing, identity theft, web based attacks, databreach, and denial of service are amongst the top 10 biggest cyberthreats in Bangladesh. Under such a scenario, the local organizations need to be prepared to combat sophisticated cyberattacks.”

Speaking on the distribution partnership with Infopercept, Mohsin further added, “To combat increasing sophisticated cyberattacks, the regional organizations need the right kind of mindset, cybersecurity strategy and execution through people, processes and technology. Infopercept with its IP led managed services is capable of providing the entire ecosystem needed for cybersecurity in terms of its Invinsense platform and managed services provided by cybersecurity experts. Organizations don’t need to invest separately in tools and people to manage their cybersecurity. Smartcom Limited along with Infopercept can provide continuous cybersecurity to the organizations of all sizes and verticals in the country”
Excited by this development, Jaydeep Ruparelia, CEO and Co-founder, Infopercept Consulting Pvt Ltd said, “Cybercrime has become a global problem and Bangladesh is no exception. Cybercriminals have to be lucky just once and organizations need to be lucky every time to be protected. Under such circumstances, there are so many cybersecurity tools needed to manage that cybersecurity itself has become more complex than cybercrime. With the distribution partnership with Smartcom Limited, we intend to provide comprehensive cybersecurity to the regional organizations to support them in their fight against the rising cybercrime.
