GhostR hacker claimed to hack Absolute Telecom PTE Ltd, a Singapore-based telecom company and stole 34 gigabytes of data including corporate information, accounting records, sales data, customer details, credit card information, and call records. In a post the bad actor claimed they infiltrated and compromised the company’s server networks on May 15, 2024.
Absolute Telecom, based in Singapore, offers voice call services to businesses. These include SIP Trunking, Enterprise PBX solutions, Ribbon Enterprise Products, and Telco grade IVR.
“Absolute Telecom Pte Ltd is a telecommunication company registered in Singapur with annual revenue of $5 million, providing voice call services to enterprise: SIP trunking , Enterprise PBX, Ribbon Enterprise products and telco grade IVR.
GhostR has hacked and breached into Absolute telecom ptd ltd server network on 15th May 2024 and we have stolen over 34GB of their database. This data breach involves corporat, accounting, salse, customers, full credit card details call records etc.” the hacker post reads.
“GhostR recently gained notoriety by threatening to release records stolen from World-Check, a database banks and institutions use to combat financial crimes and enforce sanctions. The threat actor posted a spreadsheet with names of royal family members worldwide, showing accurate information” bankinfosecurity reported.
Several attempts to communicate to the authority for the clarification failed as Absolute Telecom website is offline and unresponsive while writing the report. The outage is affecting communication with the organization, and there are unanswered questions about security and the measures being taken to deal with the breach.
At the same time isitdownrightnow showed the same things the site is down.
GhostR, a hacker focused on money, became famous claiming to steal a secret database with 5.3 million records from World-Check. They also released around 186GB of data from a stock trading platform.
