Because the cost of Hajj is higher now, more people are choosing to do Umrah instead. In order to help with this, National Bank has created a prepaid card specifically for Umrah. This card can also be used for Hajj.
There are no fees for customers using this card. Additionally, there are no annual or hidden fees. Applying for the card is also simple. Customers do not need to provide their TIN or tax return papers. The card can be obtained at any branch or sub-branch of the National Bank by filling out a form and making a minimum deposit of five thousand tk.
The Managing Director and CEO of National Bank Limited, Touhidul Alam Khan, announced that in 1997, National Bank introduced the credit card business in Bangladesh, partnering with MasterCard, an international organization. This initiative was then adopted by other banks. Building on this success, National Bank has now introduced the country’s first Mastercard branded multi-currency prepaid Umrah card.
