I welcome this effort and hope it will be resolved soon. I also hope Cybersecurity Malaysia and the Ministry of Communications and Digital will be able to get more parties to cooperate.

“During his working visit to the Axiata Cyber Fusion Center at Menara CelcomDigi, he emphasized the importance of establishing an alliance among cybersecurity service providers in our country. This partnership is crucial in order to effectively address the future challenges of cybersecurity, particularly the growing concern of malware attacks and other related issues,” he informed reporters.

Joining in the event were Tan Sri Shahril Ridza Ridzuan, the chairman of Axiata, Vivek Sood, the group CEO/MD of Axiata, and Datuk Amirudin Abdul Wahab, the CEO of CyberSecurity Malaysia.

During the visit, they toured the Axiata Cyber Fusion Centre and demonstrated a cyber-attack simulation to highlight how it enhances the cyber resilience of businesses and public sectors, including critical national infrastructure.

As we approach 2025, when Malaysia takes on the chairmanship of Asean, I strongly believe that this presents an exceptional opportunity not only for the government, but also for organizations like Axiata to expand and make a more significant impact.

“Axiata operates in multiple Asian countries, but it is worth considering the possibility of expanding Cyber Fusion operations beyond our borders,” he added. – Bernama
