The Ministry of Lands is going to present the next (2nd) generation naming system Smart Mutation to the citizens of Bangladesh soon. Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury ordered to develop this system to facilitate mutation application more easily, quickly and safely.
A demo of the ‘Smart Mutation’ system was on display at Bhumi Bhavan in the capital on Saturday (December 30). Land Secretary Khalilur Rahman witnessed the potential of this system.

Chairman of the land reform board Abdus Sabur Mandal, Ministry of Land and its affiliated offices, officials of the organization and officials of the field level land office were present among others.
After the demo exhibition, land officials actively provided constructive feedback, which will be incorporated as per applicability in the ongoing development of the ‘Smart Mutation’ system.
Utilizing the experience gained from the current 1st generation e-Namjari system that has been in operation for the past 6 years, the ‘Smart Mutation’ system is being developed by taking the opinions of all the stakeholders including citizens receiving land services, land officials providing land services, assisting land services, system developers.
During the development of smart mutation service system rich in artificial intelligence technology, user-centric design, easy integration with other important services, automation, efficient workflow management, important analysis and reporting and strong digital security, open data governance policy are emphasized.
The ‘Smart Mutation’ system will replace the existing mutation system ‘e-Mutation’ by integrating it into the ‘Smart Land Service’ portal.
